Bear, Obviously responds to the viral question asking women whether they would rather encounter a man or a bear alone in the woods. On the vessel, the hypothetical is pushed into absurdity through a nightclub populated by bears. Beneath the humour sits the reason the question resonated so widely: women's calculations around safety, threat and male violence, and the uncomfortable reality behind an apparently ridiculous choice.
